  DESCRIPTION

 
Ozone is the most powerful, natural oxidizer of practical use known.  It is simple to generate an endless supply using solar power with almost zero maintenance.  It is easy and safe to use outdoors and can be applied by using existing water treatment equipment and technology.

Ozonation is an effective disinfecting gas over a wide range of water pH levels, kills algae and microbes, eliminates a variety of organic and inorganic compounds, and unlike chlorine it does not add any toxic chemicals to the water.  However free ozone can be toxic when it escapes into the air in enclosed areasor confined spaces. Newer systems like ours avoids this by injecting a low dose of 0.2% to 0.4% (200-400 mg/hr) of ozone gas produced by corona discharge and bubbled directly into the water.  This strategy keeps ozone gas concentrations well below the 1% level considered dangerous by the EPA.

NOTE: O3 levels above 0.1 % require outdoor ventilation.  Our O3 generator requires placement in the sun, so it is safe to use almost anywhere.  However, DO NOT use in confined spaces,  closed door buildings,  indoor pools, spas, and cars without at least 30 minutes of ventilation after ozonation.  Ozone dissapates rapidly, has no residual effects and becomes oxygen in seconds after exposure to sun light.  However, allow 30 minutes after ozone application before use!

Outdoor structures suitable for generating solar power, well ventilated stuctures used for outdoor grilling, toilet vaults and exterior plumbing vent stacks require no special treatment for  ozone use.

CD O3 Generator:  The PEC corona discharge produces 0.7-1.4 ppm O3 at 2 lpm (6 SCFH)  for  high output concentrations at much lower gas flow rates than our UV counterparts  PEC uses corona discharge (CD) technology to provide superior ozone performance in a very portable size.  With features such as fully adjustable programable timer output,  low energy requirements and compact size,  the uses for our versatile stand alone ozone generators are limitless.

Components:  Materials of construction are high density thermal plastic, stainless steel,  zinc plated steel, and high temperature weather resistant enamel finish.  System includes 20 watt solar power generator, 200-400 mg/hr adjustable CD generator, programable digital timer, 6 SCFH compressor, ceramic diffuser, and 20 ft. of  gas line to complete the system. Just point it at the sun.  Place the diffuser in any odor laden air source or submerge/float it in outdoor surface waters at a 3 ft depth.  Add your off-the-shelf 12 volt automotive battery and it operates 24/7 for up to 3 cloudy days in a row.  When the sun returns operation continues and your user supplied automotive battery is recharged.

Hydrogen Sulfide Odor Control & Water Disinfection :
Typical H2S levels in municipal sewers, septic tanks, and RV holding tanks ranges from 0.02 to 0.1 ppm. Constant application of O3 at 1 ppm is recommended for both septic vent odor control (simply put the diffuser in the vent) and water disinfection (simply put the diffuser in the water) applications. Enclosed spaces and rooms ( simply put the diffuser in the room) must be vacated before using ozone odor control. 30 minute applications for disinfection of a 300 square foot room is recommended. Allow 30 minutes after application before entering room.  Skunk odors may require several applications. To keep  potable water disinfected you need to initially apply 2 mg/l O3 for 30 minutes.
